We went to Capistrano Beach in California with Trav's whole family. Growing up Trav's grandparents would take everyone there and now his parents have started it up again. It was so much fun. They rented a beach home and all twenty six of us stayed there. We had only been there a few minutes before the kids had their swimsuits unpacked and in the water.
They were still so excited the next day they went running out in their pajamas!
Josh loved trying to out run the waves!
Poor Ashlee fell off the playground the very first day of vacation and dislocated her elbow. At first they thought she may have to have surgery, but the next day looked better so luckily no surgery, but not a very fun vacation.
Josh was so funny. Every time he would get in the sand he would lay completly down in it to play.

We went to church on Sunday down there and I'm sure all twenty six of us walking in was quite a sight! After church I thought it would be fun to take the kids pictures by the beach, but they didn't want to do that. It would cut into their swimming and digging in the sand time.
Me and Kaitlyn went to the American Girl Doll store with all of the other girl cousins while all the boys went to see an aircraft carrier down in San Diego. Kaitlyn had fun spending all her birthday money and then some.
We did lots and lots of boogie boarding.
The eel that washed up on the beach by our house. Gross!

The kids loved being buried in the sand until we all walked away and they couldn't get out!

At Sea World Adam kept asking when we would get to see shampoo! (Shamu)
Josh hated waiting in lines for the rides and hated getting off even more, but he loved the two minutes that he got to ride!
What a great vacation! It was so much fun to all be together and for the kids to play with all their cousins especially the ones that live in Alaska that we don't get to see very often. Thanks Scott and Becky for taking us there and for planning it. We had so much fun!

I'm so jealous! I've been wanting to take a beach vacation for 5 years but can't talk Jim into it. It looks like you guys had a blast. How fun to be with all the family too. Your Kaitlyn is so beautiful. Fun pictures.
What a blast! It reminded me of our beach house vacation last year...we even had a dead octopus on our trip that reminded me of your eel! Anyways, I can't believe the summer is just about gone! Are you ready to put those adorable kids in school? Cause I'm totally ready to send mine!
