Tara was over red ribbon week again this year so that meant we all got to help! This year turned out to be the best of the last three years. We started off on Monday with hanging all the posters the kids made. Then on Tuesday we had all the kids outside for our surprise guest. When the kids found out it was Max Hall
BYUs quarterback the kids went nuts yelling at the helicopter
byu,
byu,
byu. It was so much fun to watch them get excited even the ones who were cheering go
utes! were having a ball. We had Max drop balls on a target from the helicopter and the fifth and sixth grade classes won this
competition. Then we headed inside for a race between Max and three teacher which involved math problems, hula hoops, throwing footballs through a hula hoop and running to the finish line. Max gave a great talk and was very
appreciative of the opportunity to speak to the kids. He thought all of us were a little crazy because
every time he touched something we were
disinfecting him. We did not want to be responsible for him getting swine flu!!! Right before he was leaving he signed Adams shirt and I don't think Adams smile went away for days. Then we had the K9 drug dogs come do the demonstration of how they find drugs and showed how they attack. It turned out really well and now its over for another year!
